Once a year, I like to do my #springcleaning for my #MacBookPro by performing a #factoryreset to clear up any accumulated issues, such as #crashing, #filecorruption… My #MacBookPro is an old machine, running #macOS #catalina; #appstore does not allow it to be upgraded for #bigsur or #vendura. But I am not ready to buy a new MacBook Pro yet, so I have decided to invest some of my time to do this #reset once a year.
There are couple issues in doing factory reset on this #MacBookPro. It does not offer clicking one button and doing everything like in #windows #pc, and there is a #buggy #termsandconditions page that you will get stuck after entering your #appleID, finally the #appstore will not allow you to download the latest version of your purchased #apps because your #macOS is too old. In this video, I will show you how I did everything which involved some #patience and #preparation #aheadoftime, please #enjoy…
